Blogs can include "enclosures" such as audio files than can be captured by news readers that are aware of the enclosure.
The audio enclosure is added to your audio library and then uploaded to an mp3 player.
Compressed files are used to save storage space and bandwidth.
2 factors for encoding audio:
Bit rate and sample rate.
44,100 kHz for mp3
Professional 48,000 or 96,000
Phone line 8 kHz
Remote broadcasts 15 kHz
If your podcast is recorded off a phone call, then why sample the mp3 at 44,100?
